Welcome to Mrs. Anderson's Page
Lemur

Welcome to our classroom website!  This is a place where I will post any announcements, notes, events or need to knows.  I will also be trying to post pictures when it is appropriate so if you are opposed to having your child on the website, please let me know.  I have had the privilege of getting to know your kids and I'd like you to get to know me a bit.

My name is Jessica Anderson.  I am 32 years old.  I live in Wisconsin but grew up in Lake Villa.  My whole life I was in pageants and held the titles of Little Miss, Jr Miss and Miss Lake Villa as well as Jr Miss and Miss Lake County. I have a husband of 8 years named Ronny, 2 sons; Colton, 3 and Declan, 7 months, 2 step daughters; Shanna, 17 and Kieley, 16, and a weimaraner named Lucia (like the island of St. Lucia).  I keep pretty busy with my boys but when I do get some me time I enjoy playing volleyball, working out and getting together with friends to try new and different things. I graduated from Northern Illinois University in 2006 with a degree in Communicative Disorders and an emphasis in Speech Language Pathology. Before I taught Special Education in a classroom, I was a Speech Therapist for 8 years.  From there I received my Masters Degree in Special Education from Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona in 2014.  I very much enjoy what I do and find each child exceptional and interesting.  I consider myself extremely lucky to be working with such amazing kids.

There are a few ways to reach me if needed. You can always call the school and leave me a message but I may not be able to get back to you until after school since I am teaching most of the day or you can email me at janderson@whsd1.org and I will get back to you as soon as I am able.  You will probably get a quicker response if you email me.  You can also write a note in your child's assignment notebook and I will respond to that the same day.  I look forward to a great year with your kids!

Thank you,
