to Mrs. Hansen's Class!
Mrs. Kallyna Hansen
K-4 Math RTI Specialist
are each very special, and you bring your own unique qualities to our small classroom family. We are going to have a lot of fun this year doing math. It
is going to be challenging, but if you come in with a positive attitude you
will make tremendous growth! I am here to help you succeed, and I will not stop
until you do. I believe in each and every one of you! I know this is going to
be a spectacular year!
I am very excited to be working with small groups of students this year! I pull groups from each grade level to give them extra math practice whether it be at a lower or higher level than they are currently in. I have already seen, and am excited to continue to see lots of growth in math. I believe in making learning fun. I feel that this engages the students and helps them learn.
Many of my students really struggle with math; which makes them dislike it and feel that they can't do it. It is my goal to change their attitudes towards the subject. I want to show my students that they can do it and that it is fun! Many students just need a little more time, or help in an environment with a smaller group of students.
A few of my groups need enrichment activities. I am very passionate about giving students what they need at their levels. It is very rewarding to see students that don't always get the extra push they need really getting challenged. I get to focus on these students so that I can meet their individual needs. This is a much harder thing to do in the larger general education classroom.
